Description: Proposal to repair to legal non-conforming bulkhead constructed six decades ago well waterward of high tide to protect fill for single family residential recreation use and to protect an estuarine wetland. The modified proposal reduces the length of the bulkhead to be repaired from 52 feet to 26 feet and replaces the portions of concrete that have failed and fallen onto the beach by pouring concrete (using plywood forms) above and between existing concrete that has not yet completely failed. The existing rotted wood pilings (5) will be replaced by galvanized steel pilings and the rotted wood planks (the top few feet of bulkhead) will be replaced with new (some will be salvaged). The old concrete sections that have fallen onto the beach will be removed from the beach and disposed of properly.
